More Before and After Weight Loss Photos

2another-before-and-after.jpgMy husband didn’t think my first set of “before and after” weight loss photos were that good, so I’m posting these. As indicated, the picture on the left was taken in April 2006 when I weighed a whopping 197 pounds. UGH. The photo on the right is recent, April 2008, two years ago, and 80 pounds lighter.

I recently received a comment from a reader that was interesting. The writer mentioned that I looked happier in the previous “before” weight loss picture. I assure you that I was NOT happy, far from it. As a matter of fact, as a visual person, I was depressed over my weight and appearance. I also felt tired and lacked energy. My mojo was gone.

In closing, I must say that posting these pictures has been beneficial for personal reasons. It’s a reminder how far I’ve come and what I never want to go back to.

Wishing you health & happiness!

Fat and happy belong together like oil and water. Although I am not you and do not really know what you went through, it is safe to assume you were not happy heavy. It appears that you were holding a tiny hand it your before photo. That quarter smile probably represents your bliss with your tiny one. Best to you always you hot skinny and HAPPY lady.

Cool. you look good i must say, after.

actually there was a period i lost weight but realised i had so many issues on self image left over even after the weight loss. Do you happen to have any tips on keeping an emotional balance after getting to your dream weight? and how you have dealt with different social expectations from friends, family & strangers now?

For instance, do you get flirted with more and how you feel about it.. also do any of your family say you ’should put on weight’ as well as other examples? :)

I started out at 210 and am now 188. How tall are you? I am 5′6″ dealing with high blood pressure and pre diabetes. Have you heard of www.sparkpeople.com? It is a wonderful motivation site.
